County Executive Marc Elrich has proposed parking fee increases of 25%, 33%, 50% or more.  The Montgomery County Council is expected to vote April 13th on whether to approve these increases. on whether to approve these increases.  View below for proposed fee increases.

The new round of fee increases follows massive increases in Silver Spring last year.

With small businesses struggling to recover from the COVID recession, this is exactly the wrong time for the county to implement massive parking fee increases.  How many more restaurants and stores do we want to close forever?

Check out Marc Elrich’s record on parking fees in Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton.
